Egyptian TV presenter Shaimaa Gamal disappeared in June 2022 and was found buried on a farm in Giza. Her husband, former judge Ayman Haggag, and Hussein El-Gharably were convicted of premeditated murder; their death sentences became final on cassation and were reported carried out in August 2025.
