Badr Bouljoihel, a 23-year-old doctoral student, was killed after a violent confrontation in the parking area of a fast-food restaurant in Aïn Diab, Casablanca, in July 2023. Five defendants received sentences ranging from five years to death at first instance; appellate proceedings remained active in 2026.
