Estrellita Vizconde and her daughters Carmela and Jennifer were murdered in their home in Parañaque. The crime became one of the Philippines' most publicized criminal cases.

Investigation

Hubert Webb and several other men were convicted in 2000, largely on testimony from a principal witness. Questions persisted about credibility, forensic evidence, and Webb's claim that he was in the United States.

Legal status and legacy

In 2010, the Supreme Court of the Philippines acquitted the defendants because the prosecution had not proven guilt beyond reasonable doubt. With no one currently convicted and no alternative perpetrator judicially established, the murders remain unsolved.
